Avon’s Past

Considering Avon has been around 130 years (at this writing), they have many nostalgic items. What seemed to be a small door to door business has grown by leaps and bounds.  I am proud to be a part of the New Avon!

Ever since I have been with Avon I have been looking forward to doing this section of the blog. This connects the past to the future.  I am fascinated with the old advertising and products from the past. I remember being a little girl and my mom buying me, Avon. Looking online I have seen some of these things shared and chatted about by other people. I am going to be putting up some old advertising and product so we can see what it was like. I hope that you enjoy this.

Products from the Past

With Avon being around for over 135 years, you know that have past products. As well as some that are still going strong. My goal is to try to find some of these to bring you back to that time in place. I know that I have favorite items that they no longer make. Some of them I wish they would bring back. Oh, the memories!

When you think Avon, what comes to mind? For some, it is the door to door Avon lady. Totally, people looked forward to her coming. You know you want to see the newest items. Goodness, it was a big deal back then.  For others, it was a certain product or fragrance. My mom used to buy me the cutest things like pins, jewelry, lip balms, scented of course as well as Sweet Honesty.  One squirt of that perfume today brings me to the birthday she gave it to me.

Vintage Advertising

There is something to say about the Avon advertising from years gone by. Even looking back at it today I am still fascinated by it. It tends to bring you back to a happy time in life. As of this writing, Avon is 130 years old. Such a rarity in this day and age!

Avon is the #1 Beauty Brand in the industry! #3rd leading Brand company with #1 being Coca-Cola and #2 Apple. I have to say that is some great company to be with. Coca-Cola was founded the same year as Avon. Obviously, these companies have done something right to have survived this long!

I will show you some of the different Advertising that Avon has done. Not to mention some of the daring photos and famous people that have promoted Avon over the years.
